Fed up with all the "gay bashing" from the Bush administration,
outspoken comedienne (and friend of the gay community) Margaret Cho turned
the tables and offered up a bit of her own "Bush Bashing" Tuesday
Night at the Abbey’s Ice Bar in West Hollywood. In celebration of Gay Pride
Month, the hugely popular nightspot played host to over 50 couples at West
Hollywood's first Mass Wedding and Commitment Ceremony. Cho took to the
podium amidst loud cheers from the crowd and said that, "even Satanists
have more morals than George Bush." Cho has started a website (loveisloveislove.com)
devoted to the issue of legalizing same-sex marriage, and taking an emotional
turn, she offered heartfelt wishes to all the newlyweds. "You are the
new definition of family," she told the crowd. |
